David Mansfield (Transamerica, Heaven’s Gate, The Apostle, Year of the Dragon) has recently scored the new Showtime limited series George & Tammy. He also contributed the opening titles theme for the show created by Abe Sylvia (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Filthy Rich) and starring Jessica Chastain, Michael Shannon, Steve Zahn, Kelly McCormack, Walton Goggins, Pat Healy, David Wilson Barnes and Katy Mixon. The 6-part drama directed by John Hillcoat (The Road, Lawless) is based on the book The Three of Us: Growing Up with Tammy and George by Georgette Jones and chronicles one of music’s most legendary power couples, Tammy Wynette and George Jones. Sylvia, Hillcoat & Chastain are also executive producing the MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, Freckle Films, Mad Chance, Brolin Prod., Moving Picture Co. and Blank Film production with Andrew Lazar (American Sniper, Get Smart), Josh Brolin, Kelly Carmichael (The 355, Ava), David C. Glasser (Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown), David Hutkin and Bob Yari (Crash, The Illusionist). George & Tammy will premiere on December 4 on Showtime.
