John Paesano (The Maze Runner, Daredevil, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Cheaper by the Dozen) is returning as the composer of the upcoming Disney+ animated movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules. The film is directed by Luke Cormican and features the voices of Brady Noon, Ethan William Childress, Chris Diamantopoulos, Edward Asner, Erica Cerra and Hunter Dillon. The animated feature is based on the second book in Jeff Kinney’s bestselling book series and focuses on Greg Heffley’s complicated relationship with older brother Rodrick, a lazy and undisciplined high school student who spends way too much time practicing with his rock band. Kinney also wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project. Paesano has previously scored last year’s first animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid film. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules will premiere on December 2, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.
Also coming up for Paesano is the Disney+ animated feature Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again, as well as new seasons of Amazon’s Invincible and Apple TV+’s Truth Be Told.
