Deadline is reporting that Grammy Award-winning songwriters Melanie Fontana & Michel “Lindgren” Schulz have written five original songs for the upcoming musical drama Singing in My Sleep. The film is directed by Nick Wilson and stars Jessica Belkin, Malin Akerman and Gavin Leatherwood. The movie follows a talented teenage songwriter who feels stuck living in the shadow of her deceased father’s musical legacy and – together with her free-spirited mother – is forced to face his abandonment when a tribute concert is being set up. Stephen Braun is producing the project for Bee-Hive Productions. Singing in My Sleep has recently finished principal photography in Los Angeles. A premiere date in 2023 is expected.
