Varese Sarabande will release a new deluxe edition soundtrack album for the 1993 sports drama Rudy directed by David Anspaugh and starring Sean Astin, Ned Beatty, Charles S. Dutton, Lili Taylor and Robert Prosky. The album features the expanded original score from the movie composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Papillon, L.A. Confidential), including previously unreleased music. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 16 (visit Amazon or any other digital music services to stream/download). A limited edition CD version will be available to order on the label’s official website tomorrow morning. Varese Sarabande has previously released the original soundtrack 1993 album. Rudy is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
