Paul Leonard-Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Tales from the Loop, Wormwood) has been hired to score the upcoming crime drama Boston Strangler. The film is written and directed by Matt Ruskin (Crown Heights) and stars Keira Knightley, Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, Morgan Spector, David Dastmalchian, Robert John Burke and Chris Cooper. The 20th Century Studios production tells the true story of Loretta McLaughlin, the first reporter to connect the infamous Boston Strangler murders in the 1960s and break the story. Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Blade Runner), Kevin Walsh (Manchester by the Sea, Death on the Nile) and Michael Pruss (Equals, Our Friend) are producing the project for Scott Free, alongside Tom Ackerley (I, Tonya, Maid) and Josey McNamara (Promising Young Woman, Dollface) for LuckyChap Entertainment. Boston Strangler will premiere in 2023 on Hulu.
Leonard-Morgan’s recent feature projects also include Nick Hamm’s Gigi & Nate, which will be released in theaters nationwide on September 2 by Roadside Attractions.
