Fil Eisler (Revenge, Empire, Outer Banks, Thunder Force, UnReal, Superintelligence, The Titan) has recently been recording his score for the upcoming comedy Reunion. The film is directed by Chris Nelson (The Perfect Date, Date and Switch) and stars Lil Rel Howery, Billy Magnussen, Jillian Bell, Nina Dobrev, Jamie Chung, Michael Hitchcock and Chace Crawford. The movie centers on a murder that takes place during a snowstorm at a high school reunion party, which leaves guests trapped in an isolated mansion trying to piece together clues. Jake Emanuel & Willie Block (The Edge of Sleep) wrote the screenplay. Howery is also producing the project with Artists Road’s Todd Garner (Mortal Kombat, Paul Blart: Mall Cop), Ben Silverman (The Office, Ugly Betty), Peter Principato (Central Intelligence, Keanu) and Mark Korshak (The Wedding Year), as well as Unique Features’ Mickey Schiff. Reunion is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
Eisler’s other upcoming feature projects also include the family comedy The Present. The film is directed by Christian Ditter (Love, Rosie) and stars Isla Fisher, Greg Kinnear, Easton Rocket Sweda, Shay Rudolph, Mason Shea Joyce and Ross Butler. The movie follows a brilliant boy who discovers he can manipulate time and teams up with his siblings to go back to the eve of their parents’ separation in hopes of changing the outcome. Jay Martel (Get Hard, Key and Peele) wrote the screenplay. Stuart Ford (Plush, The Secrets We Keep) and Linda McDonough (Ender’s Game, Queenpins) are producing the project for AGC Studios, alonagide Marcei Brown & Jessica Malanaphy (The Aviary) for CatchLightStudios. Eisler has previously scored Ditter’s last feature, How to Be Single, and also collaborated with the director on the Netflix series Biohackers. The Present is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
