Michael Lira (The Hunter, Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, Growing Up Smith, Nekrotronic, Black Water: Abyss) has recently scored the upcoming Australian Netflix original film Interceptor. The movie is directed by Matthew Reilly and stars Elsa Pataky, Luke Bracey, Aaron Glenane, Mayen Mehta, Belinda Jombwe, Rhys Muldoon, Marcus Johnson, Colin Friels and Zoe Carides. The action thriller follows an army captain who must use her years of tactical training and military expertise when a simultaneous coordinated attack threatens the remote missile interceptor station she is in command of. Reilly also co-wrote the screenplay with Stuart Beattie (Tomorrow, When the War Began, Collateral, Australia) who is producing the project with Michael Boughen (Killer Elite, The Loved Ones) and Matthew Street (Storm Boy). Chris Hemsworth is among the executive producers. Interceptor will premiere on June 3, 2022 exclusively on Netflix.
