Abel Korzeniowski (A Single Man, Nocturnal Animals, W.E., The Courier, The Nun, Romeo and Juliet) has been tapped to score the upcoming biographical drama Till. The film is directed by Chinonye Chukwu (Clemency) and stars Danielle Deadwyler, Whoopi Goldberg, Haley Bennett, Frankie Faison, Jalyn Hall, Jayme Lawson, Tosin Cole, Kevin Carroll, Sean Patrick Thomas, John Douglas Thompson and Roger Guenveur Smith. The movie tells the story of Mamie Till-Mobley, whose pursuit of justice for her 14-year-old son Emmett Louis Till became a galvanizing moment that helped lead to the creation of the civil rights movement. Chukwu also wrote the screenplay based on a previous draft by Keith Beauchamp (The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till) and Michael J P Reilly. Beauchamp, Reilly and Goldberg are also producing the Orion Pictures production with Barbara Broccoli (Skyfall, Casino Royale), Thomas K Levine and Frederick Zollo (Mississippi Burning, The Paper). Till is set to be released in theaters this fall by United Artists.
As previously announced, Korzeniowski also has Frances O’Connor’s directorial debut Emily starring Emma Mackey coming up.
