Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the family adventure Sonic the Hedgehog 2 directed by Jeff Fowler and starsring James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore and Colleen O’Shaughnessey. The film’s original score is composed by Tom Holkenborg (Mad Max: Fury Road, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Deadpool, Godzilla vs. Kong, Alita: Battle Angel). Paramount Music & La-La Land Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details). Also opening wide is the action thriller Ambulance directed by Michael Bay and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza González. Lorne Balfe (Black Widow, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, His Dark Materials, The Wheel of Time, The LEGO Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life, The Crown) has composed the film’s original music. Opening in select U.S. theaters today is the French musical comedy drama Aline co-written and directed by Valérie 
Lemercier and starring herself, Sylvain Marcel, Danielle Fichaud, Antoine Vézina, DieuRoc LaFortune, Pascale Desrochers and Jean-Noël Brouté. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the Celine Dion songs from the film performed by Victoria Sio, the singing voice of the movie’s title character, as well as tracks by Elvis Presley and Rufus Wainwright. Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Amazon Prime today is the thriller All the Old Knives directed by Janus Metz and starring Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton, Jonathan Pryce and Laurence Fishburne. Jon Ekstrand (Morbius, Life, Easy Money, Child 44, Borg vs. McEnroe, Queen of Hearts) and Rebekka Karijord (I Am Greta, Pray, Obey, Kill) have composed the film’s original music. Opening in select theaters while also premiering on Netflix today is the teen comedy Metal Lords directed by Peter Sollett and starring Jaeden Martell, Isis Hainsworth, Adrian Greensmith, Sufe Bradshaw, Noah Urrea, Analesa Fisher, Michelle Fang, Phelan Davis, Brett Gelman and Joe Manganiello. The film’s original score is composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Westworld, Iron Man, Eternals, Uncharted) . Tom Morello serves as the project’s executive music producer. Maisie Music Publishing has released the original song Machinery of Torment written by Morello, producer/screenwriter D.B. Weiss & Carl Restivo and performed by the fictional band Skullflower.
