The indie-pop duo Beach House (Victoria Legrand & Alex Scally) have made their feature scoring debut on the upcoming Netflix original film Along for the Ride. The movie is written and directed by Sofia Alvarez (who scripted the streamer’s To All the Boys films) and stars Emma Pasarow, Belmont Cameli, Andie MacDowell, Dermot Mulroney, Kate Bosworth, Laura Kariuki, Marcus Scribner, Genevieve Hannelius, Samia Finnerty, Ricardo Hurtado and Paul Karmiryan. The teen drama is based on Sarah Dessen’s bestselling YA novel a follows a studious teenage girl who meets a mysterious, fellow insomniac who helps her experience the carefree life she was missing during the summer before college. Screen Arcade’s Bryan Unkeless (I, Tonya, Birds of Prey) and Eric Newman (Children of Men, Narcos) are producing the project. Along for the Ride will premiere on April 22 exclusively on Netflix.
