The team behind the sound mixing of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune has won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in the Motion Pictures – Live Action category at tonight’s 58th annual Cinema Audio Society Awards ceremony at the InterContinental in Downtown Los Angeles. Scoring mixer Alan Meyerson, along with production mixer: Mac Ruth, re-recording mixers Ron Bartlett & Douglas Hemphill, ADR mixer Tommy O’Connell and foley mixer Don White received the award for the sci-fi epic scored by Hans Zimmer. In the Motion Pictures – Animated category, scoring mixer Alvin Wee was honored as part of the sound mixing team of Disney’s Encanto (scored by Germaine Franco).
