Nick Urata (Paddington, Crazy, Stupid, Love., Ruby Sparks, I Love You Phillip Morris, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Love the Coopers) is the composer of the new Peacock limited series Joe vs. Carole The show is written by Etan Frankel (Shameless, Animal Kingdom) and stars John Cameron Mitchell & Kate McKinnon in the title roles, alongside Kyle MacLachlan, Brian Van Holt, Nat Wolf, Sam Keeley, Marlo Kelly, Dean Winters, William Fichtner and David Wenham. The 8-part drama based on the Wondery podcast Joe Exotic hosted and reported by Robert Moor centers on Carole Baskin, a big cat enthusiast, who learns that fellow exotic animal lover Joe “Exotic” Schreibvogel is breeding and using his big cats for profit and sets out to shut down his venture. Frankel is also executive producing the UCP production with McKinnon, as well as Wondery’s Hernan Lopez & Marshall Lewy (Dr. Death, The Shrink Next Door) and Aaron Hart. Justin Tipping (Kicks, Twenties) directed and executive producing the first four episodes and the series finale. Alicen Schneider serves as the project’s music supervisor. Joe vs. Carole will premiere tomorrow exclusively on Peacock.
