The Pixies have recorded a new version of Que SeraSera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) for the new Epix original series From. The track (originally written by Jay Livingston & Ray Evans for Alfred Hitchcock’s The Man Who Knew Too Much) will be featured as the opening titles song of the show created by John Griffin (Crater) and starring Harold Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Ricky He, Chloe Van Landschoot, Shaun Majumder, Corteon Moore, Pegah Ghafoori, David Alpay, Elizabeth Saunders, Elizabeth Moy and Avery Konrad. Chris Tilton (Fringe, Alias, Zoo) is the composer of the sci-fi horror drama, which unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. Michael Permutter is the project’s music supervisor. Griffin is also executive producing the Midnight Radio production with director Jack Bender (Lost, Mr. Mercedes), showrunner Jeff Pinkner (Lost, Fringe), Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec & Scott Rosenberg (Cowboy Bebop, Life on Mars), as well as Anthony & Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: The Winter Soldier) and Mike Larocca (Extraction, Cherry) for AGBO. From will premiere tomorrow, February 20 on Epix.

  1. David says:

Just finished the 3rd episode and finally really listened to this version of the song. I’m not a fan of covers by or of anyone, but this is a winner!

    • Dave Kent says:

When I heard this cover, I assumed it was covered by Leonard Cohen. I’m surprised it’s by the pixies

  2. Melodie T says:

Love the show, love the theme song! But I also love the music at the end of the episodes. But I can’t seem to find out the title or anything about it. Anyone know what the music is at the end of each episode?

    • Boris says:

      Same!

      [Verse 1]
When I was just a little boy
I asked my father, “What will I be?”
“Will I be handsome, will I be rich?”
Here’s what he said to me

      [Chorus]
      “Que será, será
      Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours to see
      Que será, será
      What will be, will be”

      [Verse 2]
Now I have children of my own
They ask their father, “What will I be?”
“Will I be pretty, will I be rich?”
      I tell them tenderly

      [Chorus]
      “Que será, será
      Whatever will be, will be
The future’s not ours to see
      Que será, será
      What will be, will be”
      [Outro]
      Que será, será

    • Lcrawf says:

The soundtrack at the end of each episode reminds me of Westworld. Same author?

      • michael says:

Same here, the end soundtrack reminds absolulety Westworld….

    • Randi says:

It drove me crazy to find the name of the instrumental used in the closing credits of series From. I knew it sounded so familiar and it finally came up from somewhere in my brain. The song is an instrumental version of the song Mad World. I was able to find a video of the instrumental version. Now I can sleep in peace!!!

  3. Mikias says:

Been trying to Shazam the intro music for weeks now and have heard every que sera sera song ever made trying to find it with no luck. Please guys, Simone’s gotta do something about this

    • Courtney Cedo says:

It’s by the Pixies specifically for the show. Maybe Shazam hasn’t been updated yet

  4. joealot says:

Pixies did this cover of “She sera sera” for the opening credits and it’s still weirdly absent from Shazam

    • Angie says:

Love the opening theme to the TV series “FROM”! My first thought was it was music by Leonard Cohen. It’s that same deep voice, but more refined. First time gearing of the Pixies. Got to check out their other songs!

  5. Carla says:

I have been trying to identify the instrumental theme that is played at the END of each episode. It seems familiar but I can not place it. Does anyone have a clue what song that is?
Not the Pixies Que Sera Sera in the opening – Looking for the Instrumental at the end. Anyone?

    • Terry says:

What is the song on episode 3 of 61st street with violin accelerando

    • Mashelle says:

I’ve been wondering the same thing. That music at the END of each episode of FROM. I’ve tried searching the web but have found nothing. Did you ever figure it out? Reply if you know. Thanks.

    • Kelli says:

Same please someone tell me when they find out. That end instrumental song at end of each episode

      • Peter says:

Hejsan! Slutmelodin i serien FROM finns på slutet av videon av Pixies Que sera sera på You tube , hittar inget namn eller dylikt , men den finns där iaf

Love the theme song, Doris Day was great but the Pixies definitely won me over with their version.

  10. kathy wallace says:

I also thought that Leonard Cohen sang the cover of Que Sera Sera. When i found out it was the Pixies i couldn’t believe it was Frank Black singing it. Was joey Santiago singing the lead?

  11. EZGo says:

Love this song since heard it in “Dead Like Me”.
