A24 announced today that Marius de Vries will serve as the executive music producer of the upcoming movie musical F*cking Identical Twins. The film based on comedians Aaron Jackson’s and Josh Sharp’s two-man stage show is directed by Larry Charles (Borat, The Dictator, Curb Your Enthusiasm) and will star Jackson & Sharp themselves, alongside Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, Bowen Yang and Megan Thee Stallion. Fiora Cutler serves as the music supervisor of the comedy, which features original songs by Jackson & Sharp and composer Karl Saint Lucy, and follows two business adversaries who realize they’re identical twin brothers andd decide to switch places in order to reunite their divorced parents. The project is produced by A24 and Chernin Entertainment. De Vries (Strange Magic, Kick-Ass, Sucker Punch) has previously served as executive music producer on such films as La La Land , Teen Spirit and last year’s Academy Award-nominated drama Coda, which he also scored. F*cking Identical Twins is currently in production. No word yet on a released date. (Variety)
De Vries has also recently co-scored CNN Films’ documentary Navalny, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will debut later this year on HBO Max and CNN+.
