Composer Philip White (Jexi, Alex & Me, The Loud House Movie) is reteaming with Tyler Perry on the upcoming Netflix original film A Madea Homecoming. The movie is written and directed by Perry and stars himself in the title role, as well as Tamela Mann as Cora, David Mann as Mr. Brown and Cassi Davis Patton as Aunt Bam. Brendan O’Carroll makes a guest appearance as Agnes Brown. The 12th installment in the Madea series centers around Madea’s great-grandson’s college graduation that hits a halt as hidden secrets and family drama threaten to destroy the happy homecoming. Perry is also producing the comedy through his Tyler Perry Studios production company. White has previously scored Perry’s features A Madea Family Funeral and Boo 2! A Madea Halloween (with themes by Christopher Lennertz), as well as Nobody’s Fool. A Madea Homecoming will premiere on February 25, 2022 on Netflix.
