Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Eternals, Iron Man, A Wrinkle in Time, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans, Prison Break) has recently been scoring the upcoming film adaptation of the video game series Uncharted. The movie is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland) and stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas. The action adventure follows a young street-smart Nathan Drake on his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan in a dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother. Rafe Judkins (The Wheel of Time) and Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man, Transformers: The Last Knight) wrote the screenplay based on a screen story by Judkins. Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven (Wonder Woman, The Dark Knight) & Alex Gartner (Get Smart, Triple Frontier), as well as Avi Arad (Venom, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and Ari Arad (Ghost in the Shell) are producing the project. Djawadi has previously scored the Roven- & Gartner-produced features Warcraft and The Great Wall for Atlas. Uncharted will be released in theaters nationwide on February 18, 2022 by Sony Pictures. Huh.

I thought Henry Jackman would’ve been the pick since he’s a prolific film composer who has worked on Sony flicks in the past. Plus, he worked on the last two Uncharted games.
