Anna Waronker is the composer of the new HBO Max animated series Santa Inc.. She has written by the score and original songs for the show created by Alexandra Rushfield (Love) and featuring the voices of Sarah Silverman, Seth Rogen, Leslie Grossman, Gabourey Sidibe, Craig Robinson, Maria Bamford, Nicholas Braun and Joel Kim Booster. The adult stop-motion animated comedy revolves around an intrepid elf who will do anything to be named as the first female Santa. Rushfield, Silverman & Rogen are also executive producing the Lionsgate Television and Point Grey Pictures production with Amy Zvi (I Love You, America), Evan Goldberg & James Weaver (This Is the End, Neighbors), Joshua Fagen, Rosa Tran (Anomalisa), John Harvatine IV (Crossing Swords), Matthew Senreich, Seth Green & Eric Towner (Robot Chicken) and Chris Waters (Ultra City Smiths). Harry Chaskin has directed all episodes. Waronker has previously co-scored the Rushfield-produced Hulu series Shrill. Santa Inc. will premier this coming Thursday, December 2 on HBO Max.
Waronker’s recent projects also include Showtime’s Yellowjackets (co-scored with Craig Wedren), which currently airs Sunday nights, Apple TV+’s animated series Harriet the Spy, which premiered earlier this month, as well as Season 2 of Fox’s Call Me Kat (to premiere on January 9, 2022) coming up.
