Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the French/Moroccan drama Casablanca Beats (Haut et fort). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mike and Fabien Kourtzer (15 Minutes of War, Corporate, Number One). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Casablanca Beats is written and directed by Nabil Ayouch and stars Anas Basbousi, Ismail Adouab, Zineb Boujemaa, Meryem Nekkach, Nouhaila Arif, Abdelilah Basbousi, Soufiane Bellali and Mehdi Razzouk. The movie revolves around a former rapper who takes a job at a cultural center in an underprivileged neighborhood in Casablanca. The drama. which marks Morocco’s official submission to the 94th Academy Awards, premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in French theaters this coming Wednesday, November 17. Kino Lorber has picked up domestic distribution rights for a release in the U.S. in early 2022.
