Singer/songwriter David Longstreth, best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the band Dirty Projectors, is set to make his feature film scoring debut on the upcoming fantasy epic The Legend of Ochi. The film will be directed by Isaiah Saxon and star Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson, Finn Wolfhard and Helena Zengel. The movie centers on a young girl who runs away from home and learns to communicate with an elusive animal species known as OCHI. Saxon is also producing the project for Encyclopedia Pictura, alongside Traci Carlson (Menashe) & Richard Peete (Blue Ruin, Super Dark Times) for Neighborhood Watch and Jonathan Wang (Swiss Army Man, The Death of Dick Long) for Year of the Rat. Anthony & Joe Russo (Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: Winter Soldier) are among the executive producers of the A24 production. No production start has been announced yet for ‘The Legend of Ochi.
