Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the French thriller The Man in the Basement (L’homme de la cave). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Bruno Coulais (Coraline, The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, Wolfwalkers, The Secret of Kells, Winged Migration). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Man in the Basement is directed by Philippe Le Guay and stars François Cluzet, Jérémie Renier, Bérénice Bejo and Jonathan Zaccaï. The movie follows a Parisian couple who decide to sell an unsanitary basement in their building, when seemingly ordinary man shows up to buy it, makes it his permanent residence and becomes a threat to the family. The thriller was released in French theaters earlier this month. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
