Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish satire The Good Boss (El buen patrón). The album features the film’s original music composed by Zeltia Montes (Adiós, Sad Hill Unearthed, Traces of Sandalwood). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Good Boss is written and directed by Fernando León de Aranoa and stars Javier Bardem, Manolo Solo, Almudena Amor, Óscar de la Fuente, Fernando Albizu, Sonia Almarcha, Tarik Rmili, Celso Bugallo and Rafa Castejón. The movie, which has been selected as Spain’s submission in the International Feature category for next year’s Academy Awards, follows a seemingly benevolent owner of a family factory who will cross every line imaginable to win a local award for business excellence. The comedy just opened in Spanish theaters this past weekend. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
