Composer Michael Abels (Bad Education, Allen v. Farrow, Fake Famous, See You Yesterday) is set to reteam with director Jordan Peele on the upcoming horror movie Nope. The film written and directed by Peele will star Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, Brandon Perea and Michael Wincott. No plot details have been announced yet. Peele is also producing the project through his Monkeypaw Productions company, alongside Ian Cooper (Candyman). Abels has previously scored the director’s first two features, Get Out and Us, for which he was shortlisted in Original Score category at last year’s Academy Awards. Nope is currently scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide on July 22, 2022 by Universal Pictures.
