Drum & Lace (The Gospel According to André, Good Girls, Deadly Illusions) and Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, Animals, Die in a Gunfight) have been tapped to score the upcoming Amazon original series I Know What You Did Last Summer. The show is based on the 1973 novel of the same title by Lois Duncan and stars Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ashley Moore, Ezekiel Goodman, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, Brooke Bloom and Bill Heck. The horror series is being described as a modern take of the 1997 film adaptation (scored by John Debney) and follows a group of teenagers who are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night. Sara Goodman (Preacher, Gossip Girl) is the project’s showrunner and is also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with Atomic Monsters’s James Wan (Aquaman, Furious 7) & Michael Clear (MacGyver, Swamp Thing), Erik Feig (Step Up, Wrong Turn), Rob Hackett, Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum), Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious, I Am Legend), Pavun Shetty (The Boys, Happy!), as well as Craig William Macneill (Lizzie, The Boy) who also directed the first episode. I Know What You Did Last Summer will premiere this October exclusively on Amazon Prime.
The composers also continue to score Apple TV+’s Dickinson, which has been renewed for a third season.
