Matthew Herbert (Disobedience, A Fantastic Woman, Gloria Bell, The Cave) has composed the original music for the new BritBox and AMC original series The Beast Must Die. The show is developed by Gaby Chiappe (Their Finest, Misbehaviour) based on the novel by Nicholas Blake and stars Jared Harris, Cush Jumbo OBE, Billy Howle, Nathaniel Parker and Geraldine James. The 6-part thriller is directed by Dome Karukoski (Tolkien, Tom of Finland) and tells the story of a grieving mother who infiltrates the life of the man she believes killed her son. Chiappe and Parker are also executive producing the project with Ed Rubin (The Sense of an Ending, The Woman in White) and Emma Broughton for New Regency Television, alongside Marina Brackenbury and David W. Zucker (The Good Wife, Raised by Wolves, The Terror) for Scott Free. The Beast Must Die will premiere in the UK this Thursday, May 27 on BritBox and will make its U.S. debut on July 5 on AMC (and AMC+).
