Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery, The Night Of, Legion) and Zoe Keating are reuniting to co-score the upcoming HBO original film Oslo. The movie is written by J.T. Rogers based on his Tony Award-winning play of the same name, directed by Bartlett Sher and stars Ruth Wilson, Andrew Scott, Salim Dau, Waleed Zuaiter, Jeff Wilbusch, Igal Naor, Dov Glickman, Rotem Keinan, Itzik Cohen, Tobias Zilliacus and Sasson Gabai. The drama follows the secret back-channel talks, unlikely friendships, and quiet heroics of a group of Israelis and Palestinians, plus one Norwegian couple, that led to the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords. Marc Platt (La La Land, Bridge of Spies) is producing the project with Kristie Macosko Krieger (The Post, Ready Player One) and Steven Spielberg. Russo & Keating have previously co-scored the A&E series The Returned and the second season of WGN America’s Manhattan. Oslo will premiere on May 29, 2021 on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
Russo’s other current projects include Paramount+’s Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy, Apple TV+’s For All Mankind, CBS’ Clarice and Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost.
