Fil Eisler (Revenge, Empire, How to Be Single, CHiPs, Superintelligence, UnReal) & Alexis Grapsas (Trigonometry, Teacher) are co-scoring the upcoming Disney+ original series Big Shot. The show is created by David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, The Practice, Big Little Lies) & Dean Lorey (Harley Quinn, iZombie) and stars John Stamos, Jessalyn Gilsig, Richard Robichaux, Sophia Mitri Schloss, Nell Verlaque, Tiana Le, Monique Green, Tisha Custodio, Cricket Wampler and Yvette Nicole Brown. The dramedy follows a hothead men’s basketball coach is given a chance for redemption with a coaching position at an all-girls high school after getting ousted from the NCAA. Kelley & Lorey are also executive producing the ABC Signature production with Brad Garrett and Bill D’Elia (Boston Legal, How to Get Away with Murder). Big Shot will premiere on April 16 exclusively on Disney+.
Eisler’s other upcoming projects include Ben Falcone’s Netflix film Thunder Force starring Melissa McCarthy & Octavia Spencer (to premiere on April 9) and the second season of Netflix’s Biohackers (expected to premiere later this year). Grapsas’ recent projects include Argyris Papadimitropoulos’ drama Monday starring Sebastian Stan & Denise Gough. The movie premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in select theaters and on VOD on April 16 by IFC Films.
