Jeff Cardoni (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Silicon Valley, CSI: Miami, Just Friends) has signed on to score the upcoming Disney+ original series Turner & Hooch. The show is created by Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted) based on the 1989 feature of the same title and stars Josh Peck, Carra Patterson, Anthony Ruivivar, Brandon Jay McLaren, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jeremy Maguire and Vanessa Lengies. The comedy revolves around a buttoned-up U.S. marshal who inherits a big unruly dog and soon realizes the pet he didn’t want may be the partner he needs. Nix is also executive producing the 20th Television production, alongside Mike Horowitz, Robert Duncan McNeill (Chuck), Mary Viola (The DUFF, The Babysitter), as well as McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) who is also directing the first episode. Turner & Hooch is set to premiere later this year on Disney+.
Cardoni also continues to score Netflix’s The Kominsky Method, which will return for its third season this year, CBS’ Young Sheldon, which currently airs in its fourth season every Thursday night, Peacock’s A.P. Bio, which will return for a fourth season, as well as the Saved by the Bell reboot, which has just been renewed for a second season. The composer’s recent feature projects include the thriller Paradise Cove, which will be released on VOD on February 12 by Quiver Distribution.
