Owen Pallett (Her, The Box, Spaceship Earth, Life) is composing the original score for the upcoming comedic thriller On the Count of Three. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jerrod Carmichael and stars himself, alongside Christopher Abbott, Tiffany Haddish, J.B. Smoove, Lavell Crawford and Henry Winkler. The movie follows a man who has reached a place where he feels the only way out is to end things and teams up with his best friend, who is recovering from a failed suicide attempt, to execute a double suicide plan. Ari Katcher & Ryan Welch (Ramy) wrote the screenplay. Katcher is also producing the Valparaiso Pictures production with David Carrico (Straight Up), Adam Paulsen, Tom Werner (Roseanne, 3rd Rock from the Sun), Jake Densen and Jimmy Price. On the Count of Three will premiere later this month at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
