Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, The Crying Game, Poldark, American History X) has teamed up with Dan Gillespie Sells to compose the underscore for the upcoming movie musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie. The film is directed by Jonathan Butterell and stars Max Harwood, Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Sharon Horgan, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley and Richard E. Grant. The movie is based on the stage musical of the same title by Tom MacRae & Gillespie Sells and tells the story of an openly gay teenager, living on a council estate in Sheffield, England with ambitions to be a drag queen. Mark Herbert (Four Lions, Submarine), Peter Carlton (The Last Panthers, Little Birds) and Arnon Milchan (The Revenant, Gone Girl) are producing the project. Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is set to be released in U.S. theaters on February 26, 2021 by 20th Century Studios.
Dudley’s other upcoming projects include Paul Verhoeven’s Benedetta, which will premiere next year. She also recently scored the FX/BBC series Black Narcissus, which just premiered last week.
