Maisie Music Publishing has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix documentary My Octopus Teacher. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kevin Smuts (Trouble in Lemur Land, Saving Sirga: Journey into the Heart of a Lion). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. My Octopus Teacher is directed by Craig Foster and follows the filmmaker as he forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest, learning as the animal shares the mysteries of her world. The documentary, which just received the Critics’ Choice Documentary Award in the Best Science/Nature Documentary and Best Cinematography categories, premiered this past September and is now available to stream on Netflix.
