Bad Boy Records has released the original song Turntables from the documentary All In: The Fight for Democracy. The track is performed by Janelle Monáe and co-written by Monáe herself, Nathaniel Irvin III and George “George 2.0” A. Peters. The song is now available to stream/download as a digital single on Amazon. Also listen to the full track after the jump. All In: The Fight for Democracy is directed by Liz Garbus & Lisa Cortés and – in anticipation of the 2020 presidential election – examines the issue of voter suppression in the United States. The film, which is scored by Gil Talmi (The Great Hack) and also features additional music by Meshell Ndegeocello, interweaves personal experiences with current activism and historical insight to expose a problem that has corrupted our democracy from the very beginning. The documentary will be released in select theaters tomorrow, September 9 and will premiere on Amazon Prime on September 18.
