Ben Lovett (The Signal, The Ritual, Synchronicity, The Wind, Black Rock, Don Peyote) has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Masquerade. The film is written and directed by Shane Dax Taylor (Bloodworth, Isolation) and stars Bella Thorne, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Austin Nichols, Mircea Monroe and Skyler Samuels. The movie revolves around an 11-year-old girl who must survive the night after a group of intruders break into her family’s home to steal priceless artwork. Taylor is also producing the project with Steven Schneider (Pet Sematary, Blair Witch) and Kenneth Burke (Soul Surfer). Masquerade is expected to be completed later this year.
Lovett has also recently David Bruckner’s The Night House, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is set to be released in theaters later this year by Fox Searchlight.
