Hans Zimmer has been brought in to score the 25th James Bond film, No Time to Die. It has not been confirmed yet whether he will be taking sole composer credit or if he will be sharing scoring credit with one of his regular collaborators. Dan Romer was originally announced as the movie’s composer. No Time to Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and stars Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas and Ralph Fiennes. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are producing the project for EON Productions. Variety first reported about Zimmer’s involvement, which has been rumored online over the last couple of weeks. Zimmer (as executive music producer) and Steve Mazzaro (as the credited composer) have previously been hired to replace another composer on EON’s thriller The Rhythm Section (to be released on January 31 by Paramount Pictures). No Time to Die is set to be released on April 10, 2020 by MGM Studios.
Zimmer has recently completed his score for this year’s Wonder Woman 1984 and also has Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune and Ron Howard’s Rebuilding Paradise (co-scored with Lorne Balfe) coming up.
The right choice !! Hans Zimmer 🙂
nooooooo! please, this is a trumpy fake News, isn’t it?
No more Remote Control s**t composer!
PATHETIC!
Interesting! He’ll be the first composer to have worked on both a Mission: Impossible (M:i-2) and a Bond film. And if he does get Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout) to help out, same situation. I’m both intrigued to hear a Zimmer Bond score and worried as it may not be as good as it could be if he had more time to work on it. Oh well, I’m very eagar to hear it and the new Bond title song, whomever they choose to sing it.
Great news!
