Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Gentleman Jack, Torchwood, Years and Years) has recently been recording his score for the upcoming ITV/AMC limited series Quiz. The show is directed by Stephen Frears (The Queen, Philomena, Dangerous Liaisons), written by James Graham (Brexit, A Brilliant Young Mind) and stars Matthew Macfadyen, Michael Sheen, Sian Clifford, Mark Bonnar, Helen McCrory, Michael Jibson and Aisling Bea. The 3-parter tells the story of how Charles and Diana Ingram attempted an audacious heist on the quiz show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. Frears and Graham are also executive producing the Left Bank Pictures production with Dan Winch, William Village and Andy Harries (The Crown, Strike Back). Gold has previously collaborated with Frears on last year’s A Very English Scandal. Quiz will premiere next year in the UK on ITV and in the U.S. on AMC.
