Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British comedy Back to Life created by Laura Solon & Daisy Haggard and starring Haggard herself, Geraldine James, Richard Durden, Adeel Akhtar, Jamie Michie, Souad Faress and Jo Martin. The show’s original music is composed by Solomon Grey (The Last Post, The Casual Vacancy). The comedy is making its U.S. debut on Showtime.
Also premiering stateside tonight is the crime series Dublin Murders developed by Sarah Phelps based on Tana French’s first two novels in the Dublin Murder Squad crime series and starring Killian Scott, Sarah Greene, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Moe Dunford, Leah McNamara, Ian Kenny, Eugene O’Hare, Jonny Holden, Conleth Hill and Peter McDonald. Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (Lion, Adrift, Patrick Melrose, Gunpowder) has composed the show’s original music. Premiering on Tuesday, November 12, is the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian written and executive produced by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. The show’s original music is composed by Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Creed, Venom, Community). Also premiering on Tuesday is the Disney+ original movie Lady and the Tramp directed by Charlie Bean and starring Justin Theroux, Tessa Thompson, Kiersey Clemons, Thomas Mann, Janelle Monáe (who also contributed original songs), Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, F. Murray Abraham and Sam Elliott. Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, The Greatest Showman, The Raid) has composed the film’s original score. Another Disney+ movie premiering on Tuesday is the fantasy comedy Noelle written and directed by Bill Lawrence and starring Anna Kendrick, Bill Hader, Billy Eichner, Shirley MacLaine and Julie Hagerty. The film’s original music is composed by Cody Fitzgerald and Clyde Lawrence who have previously scored the director’s The Rewrite. Another Disney+ show premiering on Tuesday is High School Musical: The Musical: The Series developed by Tim Federle based on the High School Musical movies and starring Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Reinders, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein and Mark St. Cyr. Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, A Million Little Things) is composing the show’s original score. Also premiering on Tuesday is Pixar’s first series Forky Asks a Question created by Bob Peterson and featuring the voices of Tony Hale, Peterson himself, John Ratzenberger and Robin Atkin Downes. The show’s original music is composed by Jake Monaco (Let’s Be Cops, Keeping Up with the Joneses, Dumplin’, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Like a Boss) who previously worked on Pixar’s Piper. The animated short series will premiere exclusively on Disney+.
Premiering on Friday, November 15, is the Hulu original series Dollface created by Jordan Weiss and starring Kat Dennings, Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell and Esther Povitsky. Jonathan Sadoff (The Peanut Butter Falcon, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, The Meddler, The Mick) is composing the show’s original music.
