Dickon Hinchliffe has recently scored the upcoming British comedy drama Misbehaviour. The film is directed by Philippa Lowthorpe (Swallows and Amazons) and stars Keira Knightley, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jessie Buckley, Suki Waterhouse, Greg Kinnear, Lesley Manville, Keeley Hawes, Rhys Ifans and Phyllis Logan. The movie is based on the true story of the 1970 Miss World contest and its disruption by the newly founded Women’s Liberation Movement. Rebecca Frayn (The Lady) and Gaby Chiappe (Their Finest) wrote the screenplay. Suzanne Mackie (The Crown, Kinky Boots) and Sarah-Jane Wheale are producing the project. Misbehaviour is expected to premiere in 2020.
Hinchliffe’s other recent projects include Ira Sachs’ Frankie, which just opened in select U.S. theaters last month, as well as Andrew Heckler’s Burden, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and is currently set to be released on February 28, 2020 by 101 Studios.
