Christophe Beck (Frozen, Ant-Man, Edge of Tomorrow, Trolls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jake Monaco (Dumplin’, Keeping Up with the Joneses, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie) have recently been recording their score for the upcoming comedy Like a Boss. The film stars Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, Salma Hayek, Billy Porter, Jennifer Coolidge, Ari Graynor, Natasha Rothwell, Jessica St. Clair and Karan Soni. The movie follows two female friends who build a successful company, then find their relationship tested following a buyout offer. Sam Pitman & Adam Cole-Kelly wrote the screenplay. Peter Principato (Central Intelligence, Black-ish), Itay Reiss and Joel Zadak (Keanu, Key & Peele) are producing the project. Beck has previously collaborated with Arteta (The Good Girl, Youth in Revolt) on the features Cedar Rapids and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Like a Boss is set to be released on January 10, 2020 by Paramount Pictures.
Beck also has Disney’s animated sequel Frozen 2 coming up. The composer also recently scored the documentary Watson, which premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival and is set to open in select theaters on October 25. Monaco who has previously co-scored Let’s Be Cops with Beck also has the family comedy Think Like a Dog coming up.
