Composer Arturo Sandoval is reuniting with Clint Eastwood on the upcoming drama Richard Jewell. The film directed by Eastwood stars Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm, Olivia Wilde, as well as Paul Walter Hauser in the title role. The movie tells the story of American security guard, Richard Jewell, who heroically saves thousands of lives from an exploding bomb at the 1996 Olympics, but is unjustly vilified by journalists and the press who falsely report that he was a terrorist. Billy Ray (Captain Phillips, The Hunger Games) wrote the screenplay. Sandoval has previously scored Eastwood’s last feature, The Mule based on the Vanity Fair article American Nightmare – The Ballad of Richard Jewell by Marie Brenner. Eastwood (American Sniper, Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby) is also producing the project with Tim Moore (Sully), Jessica Meier (The 15:17 to Paris), Kevin Misher (Public Enemies, The Scorpion King), Leonardo DiCaprio & Jennifer Davisson (Out of the Furnace, Live by Night) and Jonah Hill. Richard Jewell is set to be released on December 13, 2019 by Warner Bros. Pictures. Visit the official movie website for updates.
