Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish/Argentine war drama While at War (Mientras dure la guerra). The album features the film’s original music composed by director Alejandro Amenábar (The Others, The Sea Inside). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is also in the works. While at War is co-written and directed by Amenábar and stars Karra Elejalde, Eduard Fernández, Santi Prego, Tito Valverde, Luis Bermejo and Nathalie Poza. The movie set in the first months of the Spanish Civil War and tracks the country’s slide into nearly four decades of fascism under dictator Francisco Franco. The drama premiered earlier this month at the Toronto Film Festival and will be released in Spanish theaters this coming Friday, September 27. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
