Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, National Treasure) has signed on to score the upcoming Amazon original series The Hunt. The show is created by David Weil and stars Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Lena Olin, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Tiffany Boone, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Greg Austin, and Dylan Baker. The drama follows a diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City who have discovered that hundreds of high-ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. Weil is also executive producing the project with Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us), Win Rosenfeld (The Twilight Zone, Lorena), Nelson McCormick (Prison Break, Prom Night), Tom Lesinski (Mr. Mercedes, Taboo), Jenna Santoianni (Das Boot) and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl) who also directed the pilot episode. The Hunt is expected to premiere later this year on Amazon Prime.
The composer also has the Spanish thriller Ventajas de viajar en tren directed by Aritz Moreno and starring Luis Tosar, Pilar Castro, Quim Gutiérrez, Ernesto Alterio, Belén Cuesta and Macarena García coming up. The movie will be released in Spanish theaters later this year.
