Tim Jones (Chuck, Human Target, Beast of Burden, Office Uprising) has been hired to score the upcoming horror thriller Hide and Seek. The film is written and directed by Joel David Moore (Youth in Oregon, Spiral) and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jacinda Barrett, Joe Pantoliano and Mustafa Shakir. The movie is based on Huh Jung’s 2013 Korean feature of the same title and follows a man searching for his long-lost brother who stumbles upon a secret world of squatters terrorizing the homes of unsuspecting tenants. Tae-sung Jeong (Snowpiercer) and Francis Chung (Take Point) are producing the CJ Entertainment production. Hide and Seek is currently in post-production. A release later this year is expected.
As previously reported, Jones also has the family adventure Santa Girl coming up. He has also recently scored the horror thriller The Great Illusion directed by Maria Gabriela Cardenas and starring Selma Blair, Graham Greene, Glenn Morshower, Tokala Black Elk, Jon Lindstrom, Kenzie Dalton and Oscar Cardenas. The movie follows a tortured FBI agent suffering from an irrational fear of darkness, as he investigates a mysterious former prostitute in order to catch a vicious serial killer. The movie produced by Amy Williams (Mothers and Daughters) premiered last month at the Barcelona Planet Film Festival. No word yet on a release date.
