This past week, Gregoire Hetzel (Incendies, Summertime, The Midwife) has recorded his music for the upcoming French thriller Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, une lumière). The film is written and directed by Arnaud Desplechin (Esther Khan, Jimmy P.) and stars Roschdy Zem, Antoine Reinartz, Léa Seydoux and Sara Forestier. The movie is set in the director’s native town of Roubaix in northern France and tells the true story of a crime in which two women murdered an elderly woman. Desplechin is also producing the project with Pascal Caucheteux (Jackie, The Sisters Brothers, Rust and Bone). Hetzel has previously collaborated with Desplechin numerous times, including on the features Ismael’s Ghosts, My Golden Days and A Christmas Tale. Roubaix, a Light will premiere next month at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
