Kubilay Uner has been hired to score the upcoming drama Axis Sally. The film is directed by Michael Polish (The Astronaut Farmer, Twin Falls Idaho) and stars Al Pacino, Meadow Williams, Thomas Kretschmann, Mitch Pileggi and Lala Kent. The movie is based on William Owen’s book Axis Sally Confidential and tells the true story of Mildred “Axis Sally” Gillars, the American who unwittingly became the voice of German propaganda targeted to U.S. troops during World War II. Vance Owen and Darryl Hicks wrote the screenplay. Randall Emmett & George Furla (2 Guns, Lone Survivor, Escape Plan) are producing the project with Owen and Tucker Tooley (Den of Thieves). Uner has previously collaborated with Polish on the features Big Sur and For Lovers Only. Axis Sally is currently shooting in Puerto Rico. No release date has been announced yet.
