Jeff Toyne (Rogue, Dirty Girl, 9/11, You Me Her) has recently composed the music for the upcoming thriller Daughter of the Wolf. The film is directed by David Hackl (Saw V, Into the Grizzly Maze) and stars Richard Dreyfuss, Gina Carano, Brendan Fehr, Anton Gillis-Adelman and Sydelle Noel. The movie follows a woman who returns home from her tour in the Middle East to the news of her father’s passing. When word spreads about her large inheritance, her son is kidnapped and held for ransom by a local gang. Nika Agiashvili wrote the screenplay. Kevin Dewalt (Faces in the Crowd), Danielle Masters (The Humanity Bureau, The Recall) & Benjamin Dewalt are producing the project for Minds Eye Entertainment, alongside Doug Falconer for Falconer Pictures. Toyne has previously scored Hackl’s last feature Life on the Line starring John Travolta. Daughter of the Wolf will be released in select U.S. theaters on May 10, 2019.
Toyne also has the indie drama Butter written and being directed by Paul A. Kaufman (Run The Wild Fields) and starring Mira Sorvino, Mykelti Williamson, Annabeth Gish, Ravi Patel, Brian Van Holt, McKaley Miller, Monte Markham, Matthew Gold & Alex Kersting coming up. The movie centers on a lonely, obese teenager who is tired of his ridiculed life and his inability to lose weight and decides to eat himself to death – live on the Internet. Kaufman is also producing the project with J. Todd Harris (Bottle Shock, Supercross) and Christina Sibul. Toyne has previously collaborated with Kaufman on numerous projects, including the Hallmark Channel movies The Christmas Cottage and Christmas Homecoming. Butter is expected to premiere later this year.
