Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Amblin Entertainment’s animated feature An American Tail directed by Don Bluth and starring Nehemiah Persoff, Erica Yohn, Amy Green, Christopher Plummer, John Finnegan, Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn and Phillip Glasser. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, Aliens), including over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. Also included are all the original songs from the movie written by Horner, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil, including the Academy Award-nominated Somewhere Out There.
