Paul Haslinger has recently composed the original score for the upcoming Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt. The film is directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass: The Movie, Bad Grandpa) and stars Douglas Booth, Machine Gun Kelly, Daniel Webber, Iwan Rheon, Tony Cavalero, Rebekah Graf, Leven Rambin and David Costabile. The movie is based on Neil Strauss’ book The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band and follows the band’s rise to international stardom in the 1980s. Rich Wilkes (xXx), Tom Kapinos (Californication) and Amanda Adelson wrote the screenplay. Julie Yorn (Hell or High Water, Unstoppable), Erik Olsen (Intruders) and Allen Kovac are producing the project. The Dirt will premiere on March 22, 2019 exclusively on Netflix.
Haslinger (Underworld, Halt and Catching Fire, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, The Three Musketeers) has also recently composed the music for Richard Shepard’s The Perfection, which premiered at last year’s Fantastic Fest and will premiere later this year on Netflix.
