Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Yuli. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Alberto Iglesias (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner, Volver, The Skin I Live In). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version will be announced soon. Yuli is directed by Icíar Bollaín and stars Carlos Acosta, Santiago Alfonso, Keyvin Martínez and Edilson Manuel Olbera Nuñez. The movie tells the story of Cuban ballet superstar Carlos Acosta’s rise from the streets of Havana to the heights of classical ballet, becoming the first black principal guest dancer at the Royal Ballet in London. The drama opened in Spanish theaters last month and will be released in other international markets over the next few months. No word yet on a U.S. release.
