Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the Venezuelan horror thriller The Whistler: Origins (El Silbon: Origenes). The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Nascuy Linares (Embrace of the Serpent). The soundtrack will be released this coming Friday, January 11 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. The Whistler: Origins is directed by Gisberg Bermudez and follows a father as he struggles to discover the origins of the Whistler’s curse to save his daughter from being gradually possessed by the supernatural creature. The thriller opened in South American markets last month and has been picked up by Uncork’d Entertainment and Dark Star Pictures for a release in select U.S. theaters and on VOD later this year.
