Composer Bruno Coulais (Coraline, The Crimson Rivers, Winged Migration, The Chorus) is reuniting with director Benoît Jacquot on the upcoming French drama Mr. Casanova (Dernier amour). The film starring Vincent Lindon, Stacy Martin, Valeria Golino and Nathan Willcocks tells the story of the life of Giacomo Casanova, the famed Italian libertine, adventurer and author. Jacquot also co-wrote the screenplay with Chantal Thomas and Jerome Beaujour. Kristina Larsen (The Last Days) is producing the project. Coulais has previously collaborated with Jacquot numerous times on such films as Farewell, My Queen, Diary of a Chambermaid, 3 Hearts and this year’s Eva. Mr. Casanova is currently in post-production and will be released in French theaters in 2019.
As previously reported, Coulais also has Jean-Paul Salome’s La Daronne and Anne Fontaine’s Pure as Snow (Blanche-Neige) starring Isabelle Huppert coming up.
