StarWars.Com has announced that Ludwig Göransson (Black Panther, Creed, Venom, Community) will compose the score for The Mandalorian, the first ever live-action Star Wars series. The show is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2) and stars Pedro Pascal in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) is directing the first episode and is also executive producing the Lucasfilm production with Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. The Mandalorian will premiere exclusively on Disney’s new streaming service Disney+, which is set to debut in late 2019.
